Do you remember when you were little and learning to tie your shoelaces?

First of all an adult tied them for you and then you had a go but still needed help. You continued to practice until one day you finally ‘got it’! After that it was like you’d always known how to do it and you didn’t have to think about it.

What we learn as children becomes established habits for life. That’s why at The Smile Centre we believe it’s so important to teach good tooth brushing and dietary routines from an early age.

Our Children’s Activity Sessions provide a fun forum that helps our younger patients learn the fundamentals of establishing good oral hygiene habits to prevent dental problems in the future.

Ned’s head and Ollie the dog are just two of the loveable characters helping the 3-7 year olds learn about healthy eating and effective tooth brushing; for the 8-10 year olds there are mini experiments to carry out and puzzles to solve. All the children receive a goody bag as a ‘well done’ at the end of the sessions to reinforce what they’ve learned.

Modern dental care focuses on prevention.  The Smile Centre is a child-friendly environment with a team of dedicated professionals who are eager to teach your children how to avoid the need for dental treatment due to disease.
