At the start of a new year our attentions often turn to our health and wellbeing<\/span><\/a>. With this in mind, The Smile Centre in Liskeard would like to put out a call to anyone who hasn\u2019t seen the dentist for 12 months or more to visit us<\/a> for a thorough dental health examination<\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Many changes can occur in your mouth over 12 months and no matter how meticulous your oral hygiene regime, bacterial plaque builds up and can lead to gum disease<\/span><\/a> and tooth deca<\/span>y<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Visiting the dentist is an important part of your overall health routine especially as research potentially links gum disease to arthritis, heart disease, strokes, diabetes and premature births. A staggering 90 per cent of us suffer from gum disease at some point in our lives but with good dental care the risks can be easily controlled.<\/p>\n

It is vital to your oral health and overall wellbeing that you visit the dentist at least once a year and we would urge you to make an appointment at your earliest convenience. We have a well-established team and provide outstanding hygiene care<\/span><\/a> to prevent and manage gum disease.<\/p>\n
